On Feb. 9, 2012 I had the pleasure of attending my fifth grade granddaughter’s “We Don’t Have a Theme” all band marathon at the Duxbury Performing Arts Center.

I was amazed at the talent of the students of all ages on the stage.  Music director Ric Madru commented that the dedication and the commitment of the students is the result of the concert that we all so enjoyed. Bouquets of gratitude to the music directors, Ric Madru, Jill Noerenberg, Joe Pondaco and Sam Schmetterer and all the bands for working so hard to give such a concert of perfection.

I don’t have to go to Boston or New York for great music … I’m good right here in Duxbury thanks to wonderful you!
