Thomas Protasewich and Rachel Mongeau were married on Oct. 29, 2011, at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in Fryeberg, Maine. The Reverend Paul Dumais officiated at the Mass. A reception immediately following the ceremony was held at the Wentworth Inn in Jackson, N.H. The bride was given in marriage by her father. She was joined by her sister and matron of honor, Jenny Laine. Bridesmaids were Kate Duval, Emily Mongeau, Rebecca Mongeau, sisters of the bride; Danielle Hugill, sister of the bridegroom; and Kate Basque, cousin of the bride. The best men were Mike and Chris Protasewich, brothers of the bridegroom. Groomsmen were Chris Hugill, brother-in-law of the bridegroom; Kevin Protasewich, cousin of the bridegroom; Sam Mongeau, brother of the bride; Mike Duval and Scott Laine, brothers-in-law of the bride. A weekend to remember commenced with the fall foliage and concluded with the first snowfall of the season. Tom is the son of Joanne and Ron Protasewich of Duxbury. Rachel is the daughter of Patty and Peter Mongeau of Westborough. Tom and Rachel, 2007 graduates of UMass Amherst, met on a service trip to New Orleans in 2006. Tom is the general manager of Restaurant Hola in Marshfield. Rachel is an RN in the emergency room at Mass General Hospital. Following a honeymoon in Hawaii, the couple resides in Squantum. |
