Alan and Cheryl Smith of Sandown, N.H. announce the engagement of their daughter, Monica Lynn Smith to Gregory Michael Vallee, the son of Larry Vallee of Duxbury and Janet Vallee of East Falmouth.

Monica is a 1998 graduate of Timberlane Regional High School, Plaistow, N.H. and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration with a concentration in finance from the Whittemore School of Business at the University of New Hampshire. She is currently employed as an internal wholesaler for Liberty Mutual.

Greg is a 1994 graduate of Duxbury High School and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing from the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in North Adams. He is currently employed at CCO Investments as a financial consultant.

The couple met in Portsmouth, N.H.  A December 2011 wedding is planned.
