State Treasurer Steve Grossman will visit Duxbury for an open forum, ”Money Matters” focusing on pocketbook issues affecting local taxpayers. The event will be held at the Duxbury Senior Center on Tuesday, Feb. 28 at 7 p.m. As state treasurer, Grossman oversees the state lottery program and pension system, as well as managing the state’s checkbook. He will also be discussing small business banking issues. Grossman, a graduate of Princeton University and Harvard Business School, was formerly CEO of Grossman Marketing Group before being elected State Treasurer in 2010. The event is sponsored by the Duxbury Democratic Town Committee. Residents of all political persuasions are invited to attend.
