| Attempted Home Invasion |

Police are searching for an attempted home invader who kicked in the front door of a house on Lincoln Street around 1 p.m. on Monday afternoon. An off-duty Duxbury police officer reported a man burst into his home while he was sleeping upstairs. The suspect ran upstairs and entered the room in which the officer was sleeping. The awakened officer then confronted the man, who fled the scene, police said.
Several Duxbury units were on scene, as well as state troopers and Marshfield police officers. An area search was conducted and was concluded two hours later with no results. Duxbury police issued a reverse 911 notification to residents, informing them that the suspect was no longer in the area. According to police, the incident appears to be connected to several other residential burglaries that occurred on Monday, including one on Tobey Garden Street and in Kingston and Pembroke. The suspect is described as a white man in his late 20’s with a goatee and thin mustache. He was wearing a black Bruins sweatshirt and tan or cargo pants. Anyone with information is asked to call Duxbury police at 781-934-5656. |
