PUBLIC SCHOOLS INVITATION TO BID The Duxbury School Committee will receive sealed bids, in accordance with MGL 149 inclusive, for the replacement of the rubber gym floor located in Chandler Elementary School, 93 Chandler Street, Duxbury, MA 02332. All bids submitted must be “SEALED” and shall be clearly marked on the outside face of the envelope, “BID FOR Replacement of CHANDLER ELEMENTARY GYM FLOOR.” Sealed bids will be received on Friday, June 1, 2012 no later than 2:00 p.m. at the office of the Superintendent, 130 Saint George Street, Duxbury, MA 02332. An Invitation to Bid, specifications and forms may be obtained at the Central Administration Office, 130 Saint George Street, Duxbury Ma. 02332 during regular business hours on or after 8:00 on May 16, 2012 by emailing snauman@duxbury.k12.ma.us or calling 781-934-7600. Please refer to the IFB for further detail on how to submit the bid. All bidders are to execute the Non-Collusion/Fraud Certification and also the Tax Certification Attestation which are part of the Bid Documents. Failure to submit these completed forms will not allow the Duxbury School Committee to consider your bid. PLANNING BOARD PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE Notice is hereby given that the Duxbury Planning Board will be conducting an Administrative Site Plan Review according to Section 615 of the Protective Bylaw of the Town of Duxbury for construction of the new co-located Middle School and High School on Alden Street put forth by the Town of Duxbury School Building Committee. The presentation will take place on Monday, May 21, 2012 at 7:05 PM at the Duxbury Senior Center (Ellison Room), 10 Mayflower Street. The project involves the construction of a 322,500 square foot school building with 300 parking spaces, including grading, paving, drainage, and pedestrian and vehicular circulation. The project also includes the demolition of the existing middle school and high school, and the construction of a new 17,865 square foot field house with 274 parking spaces, including grading, paving and drainage, on the site of the existing high school at 130 Saint George Street. The property encompasses a total of 64 acres at 71 Alden Street (Assessor's property ID 180-508-007) and 37.88 acres on 130 Saint George Street (Assessor's property ID 170-508-057), and both properties are located in the Residential Compatibility (RC) District and Publicly-Owned Land Overlay (POLO) District. The general public is welcome to attend the meeting to participate in the discussion relative to the proposal. A copy of the application, plan and other supporting documents are on file in the Planning Board Office and may be inspected Monday through Friday during Town Hall business hours. Any person interested or wishing to comment on the proposed plan should appear at the time and place noted above. Any individual with a disability may request accommodation in order to participate in the public meeting and may request the application and any accompanying materials in an accessible format.
